As a follow-up to our April 12th blog "Health reform provides immediate tax credit to small employers," we have learned that the IRS has begun mailing over 4 million postcards to small employers to educate them on the availability of the tax credit. We have attached a link to the postcard and a table indicating how many employers will receive the postcard in each state.

This direct outreach effort comes on top of other promotional efforts by the Administration regarding the tax credit. For example, the website WhiteHouse.gov has a page dedicated to the small employer tax credits and places it as #1 on its list of "immediate benefits" of health reform.
