- They played their first game on May 1, 1883, in which they lost 4-3. That first season they won 17 out of 98 games

Last year the Phillies won the World Series, and that gained a lot of enthusiastic expressions from the team’s large fanbase. This year fans are hoping for another chance at the World Series and so far, the Phillies seem to be doing great!. As of right now, the Phillies have had six straight wins, after beating the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
